The rollout of 5G networks in the late 2010s marked a new era in connectivity, enabling faster download speeds, lower latency, and improved IoT integration. Smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S20 and iPhone 12 embraced 5G, pushing telecom providers to expand coverage.

Another breakthrough was foldable technology. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold (2019) and Motorola’s Razr (2020) reintroduced flip phones with flexible OLED displays. These devices offered larger screens without sacrificing portability, though durability and high costs remained challenges.
